Saskpower, the government owned utility, has announced that they are going to go ahead with a coal fired plant with carbon sequestration. The CO2 will be removed from the stack, and sent into old oil wells to enhance their production.

BC became the second province to introduce a carbon tax, following the rather timid lead of Quebec.
The government of Ontario is proposing to put in place a regulation to make it mandatory for developers and municipalities to allow outdoor clotheslines.
New coal plants just became a lot more expensive. Is this the beginning of the end for coal?
