Blade Repairs

A week ago Wednesday there was a series of major thunderstorms that came through Southern Ontario at the end of the hot spell. The turbine took at least one major lightning strike, and some damage was caused to a blade that requires repair.

The Foundation Pour Begins

If you were travelling up the Peninsula today you might have notice a lot of concrete trucks. Today, we are pouring the foundation for the north turbine. Tomorrow we will pour the middle one.

Audobon Society on Wind and Birds

Rebar almost done

The 2 turbine project expansion is continuing at a good pace. Crane pads are complete, roads are 70% complete, and the rebar is 90% tied. The rebar should be done today. (more…)

It Works!

We tested a radio link to a Wiarton communications tower today. It works, and it works well. We need this communications link to ensure proper protection and control for the wind farm.
